The apostle Paul speaks of the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe (vv. 21, 22). And then he adds, a reason for this statement, “For there is no difference:” “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (vv. 22, 23).
Romans 3:22-23:
[22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Paul here, puts aside all the differences between man (woman), more pure or less pure, Jew or Gentile, wise or foolish, and in regard to the most important things declares, ‘there is no difference,’! The same Gospel is for the whole world, because it deals with all men on the same level.
There is no difference as to the fact of man’s sin! There is no difference as to the fact of God’s love! And there is no difference as to the need and way of salvation! Christ is the Saviour of all who come to him in faith!
But there is a difference in man’s response of God’s gracious offer. And there will be an awful difference throughout eternity.
