The Master Of The Sea

It had been a long and difficult day for the Lord Jesus. When the day was over, He called His disciples to set sail for the other side of the sea. When Jesus said to go to the other side, He wasn’t sending the Apostles alone. He was going with them.

“And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.” “And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.” “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” (Mark 4:35-41).

There is a sense in which we are all involved in a journey today. We are sailing toward an unseen port called Heaven. As we sail, there will be storms in life. Make sure that you are equipped to face them when they come.

I don’t know the nature of your storm, but I know Who can calm it. He is still the Master of the sea.

If it is a storm of suffering; He can ease your pain.
If it is a storm of sorrow; He can comfort your soul.
If it is a storm of sin; He can deliver you and set you free.

Do you need to hear Jesus say “Peace, be still” to your storm? If you do, bring it to Him and watch Him work.
